The 20th edition ran ten days, with Community Days on Sainte-Catherine Street East on August 7 and 8 and free evening shows at the Olympic Park Esplanade on August 7 to 9. The organizer reported more than one million participants across the festival.

History

In 1979 activist John Banks formed La Brigade Rose, which held Montreal's first Pride parade with 52 marchers. Divers/Cité ran the city's Pride festival from 1993, and Fierté Montréal became the official organizer in 2007; it hosted the first Canada Pride in 2017.
